So first things first, find a pair of jeans with ugly pockets. These ones were really low and made my butt look super saggy... no okay. BUT I loved the colour of them so I could never bring myself to get rid of them. This entire project was done in a college dorm using a mini sewing kit.
You'll Need :
ugly-pocket-jeans (duh)
a seam ripper
scissors
thread
needle
1) cut the bottom 1/3 of the pocket off. Use a seam ripper to get the stitching out and then cut a (straightish) line.
2) Bunch the fabric in the middle and sew it so that it stays. I went back and forth about 8 times.
3) From the part of the pocket you cut off, cut a piece off that is about 3 inches long by at least 1/2 wide. This piece will go around the centre of the bow, you could use another type of fabric for a cool detail.
4) Place the fabrick underneath the bow, ugly side facing up.
5) Wrap one half of the fabric around and stitch in place. Then wrap the other side over top of the first half and stitch in place.
6) YOURE DONE. WEAR YOURE PANTS EVERYWHERE.
People will be all like: I love your pants ! the bows are so cute !!
and youll be like: yeah i made them
and theyll be like: omg youre so amazing and creative.
